Ashoka University Hiring for Tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level at India (IN) Full Time

The Department of English at Ashoka University invites applicants to join a vibrant faculty that aims to excel in research and teaching. The university is situated in Sonipat near Delhi, India. The department invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level from outstanding scholars whose specialisations include one or more of the following subfields: long global eighteenth-century (including Romantic) literatures, American/African-American/Caribbean literatures, digital humanities, literary theory, and South Asian literatures and languages (including translation studies and graphic narratives). 

Successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate potential for excellence in research and publication. They will be expected to teach two courses (basic as well as advanced courses) per semester (four per year), and be involved in advising and administrative duties. Junior faculty are eligible for research leave. All faculty receive generous support for research and an annual research grant.
