Design Engineer / Structural Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer required for an industrial SME going through fast growth based in Aberdeen.

The successful Design Engineer / Structural Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer may have worked on cranes or from an Oil & Gas background.

This is a great opportunity for a Design Engineer that desires to work on global projects.

Role

The Design Engineer / Structural Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and draughting projects

Meeting with clients and listening to the project specifications, suggesting approaches that are suitable design solutions

Working with and establishing Training Management Systems such as API TPCP

Understand medium to long term implications and develop plans to minimize effects

Working with and establishing HQSE Management Systems, ideally OSHAS 18001

Working on crane maintenance and material handling              

Requirements

Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline; mechanical, civil, design or structural engineering

3-5 years experience within a design engineering environment

Experienced in the use of CAD packages, preferably Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD.

Advanced use of FEM simulation software, preferably experience in FS2000 / FN2000

3 years experience in Upstream industry would be desirable for that position to be affiliated with crane maintenance and material handling

An individual from a Oil & Gas / Crane background would be of interest
