About This Position

This position works within Council’s Finance team and is responsible for the efficient processing of rating and accounts receivable duties.

You will need to have proficient communication and customer service skills. You should have previous experience in a corporate accounting position and proficiency in the use of accounting software and computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

The role is part-time, 24 hours per week, and offers a salary based on a full time equivalent of $60,178 to $65,024 per annum. For further information, please contact Council’s Manager Finance, Tim Jones on 03 6211 8200.

Mandatory Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria in your application:

Essential
1. Demonstrated experience in an accounting or finance related position.
2. Demonstrated experience in computerised accounting systems.
3. Sound mathematical and problem-solving skills.
4. Well-developed keyboarding and computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office software.
5. A strong customer service focus and competent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. The ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.

Desirable
7. An understanding of Local Government rating and property functions.
8. A vocational qualification e.g. Certificate III in finance, business or accounting.
