Job Description
The receptionist is the first point of contact for external guests at MSC Canada in our MEDLOG building located at 750 Boulevard Saint Laurent in the Old Port of Montreal. The receptionist’s duties include welcoming guests, answering and redirecting phone calls, as well as executing administrative tasks to the highest quality of standards. The individual is expected to have a pleasant and professional personality, as this is a customer service role.
Key Accountabilities

• Greet and welcome guests at reception
• Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
• Hosting client meetings and providing refreshments
• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
• Monitor logbook and issue visitor badges at reception
• Perform any and all job-related tasks to meet business and department needs as requested by the Department Manager

• Follow-through: Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and promptness as well as consistency in following up in unresolved client issues to ensure completion, advocating for each customer both internally and externally; keeping a friendly connection with the customer to assure them they have not been forgotten
• Attention to detail while working quickly and under pressure: Is able to maintain the both the quality and the productivity standards, ensuring accuracy, correctness and speed are maintained, when deadlines are tight, and the pressure is on.
• Completed high school diploma
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
• High caliber of professionalism and confidentiality
• Ability to interact with a wide variety of people including staff, clients and members of the public
• Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
