This company was formed 6 years ago and is already close to £100M turnover. So if you want to join a fast-paced organisation with an ambition to grow, then this Assistant Accountant Role is for you. Based in Iver, Bucks the role is part of a small team reporting to the Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant include :

• Setting up new suppliers on Sage following necessary checks.

• Purchase ledger invoice entry including the reconciliation to purchase order, goods received /service delivery notes (as applicable) and related documentation.

• Liaising with the operations and commercial teams to ensure stock supplier invoices are processed and settled within agreed terms.

• Preparation of daily/weekly ACH supplier payment runs.

• Assisting the Finance Manager with the daily completion of the business cashflow forecast and reporting, especially around purchase commitments and payments.

• Process and pay all employee expenses and corporate card transactions.

• Processing other journals to ensure that the financial records are complete and up to date within the accounting system.

• Processing bank entries on all current accounts and maintain reconciled bank balances between Sage and HSBC.

• Set up loan and supplier payments as required.

• Record bank entries for supplier and loan payments and all other day to day payments incl. FX trades

• Updating daily cashflow with bank transactions and PO information

• Prepare and post monthly accrual, prepayment and depreciation journals within the reporting deadline

• Ensure all documents including invoices, delivery notes, receipts are filed in an orderly and timely manner. All key docs to be scanned and saved to Sage.

• Cover for the credit controller by learning most day-to-day credit control tasks including new account set-up, daily invoice distribution, weekly statement distribution and sending payment reminders via email

The ideal candidate will be part/qualified AAT with good double entry bookkeeping skills, Sage experience would be desirable and in return will receive a salary c£30k, free parking, discounted products, flexible working and WFH 2 days a week plus the opportunity to develop and progress.
