Position: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.

Shifts: Monday to Friday, days – 07:00 till 15:30.

Emergency call out rota 1 week in 7.

Salary: £39,000+

On target earnings: £43,000 – £50,000

Location: Birmingham.

The role of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:    

You’ll be tasked with maintaining an array of machines within a heavy industry setting. Our client offers a great induction programme as most of the equipment is specially designed for their industry. This is the opportunity for a maintenance Engineer to get hands on, you can expect your day to day to involve:

• Hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Fabrication and welding with stainless steel.
• Supporting Maintenance Electricians with mechanical duties.
• Fault finding on large machines.
• Reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Reading schematic drawings.
• Overhaul and strip downs on various machines.

A successful Mechanical Maintenacne Engineer application:

A recognised Engineering qualification level 3 or ONC equivalent.

Welding experience.

Industry experience.

To be proactive and consider problems as a challenge.
