Executive Summary

L’Oréal Luxe Fragrance represents the fragrances of Giorgio Armani, Prada, Mugler, Valentino, Viktor & Rolf, Lancôme, Yves Saint Lauren, Maison Margiela, Ralph Lauren, Diesel, Azzaro and Cacharel. Launching highly successful brands year-on-year we have celebrated enormous achievement during over the last few years, with some of the most credible brands in the luxury fragrance market and have achieved rankings in the top 5 fragrances in the UKI market.

Our aim is to grow the retail operation in key towns and cities across UKI, in order to provide country wide coverage and maximise our sales potential and market share. In order to facilitate the expansion of the brand, we are seeking an Area Manager who can continue to grow the successful Luxe fragrance business in Yorkshire.

Purpose of role

You will take full responsibility for the Luxe Fragrance retail portfolio, maximising the sales and customer experience by coaching, engaging, and developing Beauty Advisors in stores in your area.

We are looking for an exceptional Retail and Education Area Manager who can blend strategic business acumen with a service-led coaching style to navigate the future of our retail space. You will lead by example, with a genuine excitement and love for our brands, luxury retail and exceptional customer experiences.

Your mission is to develop your retail teams across multiple sites to deliver outstanding service whilst driving productivity in line with the L’Oréal Luxe Fragrance Education strategy. You will be a strong coach and be able to adapt your style to work side-by-side in your stores. As well as developing teams, you will be putting in place strong retail plans, to grow your portfolio, as well as gain market share in your stores. In addition, you will be able to influence and engage our Retailers and Senior stakeholders. You thrive on change and seize any opportunity to innovate, and you have a proven track record in growing and developing talent.

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT:

• Have a passion for your people – as part of your role you will strategically spend a lot of time in store coaching and developing Beauty Consultants with a focus on development of service and commercial skill sets

• Recruit, onboard, coach and develop new starters into the business

• Contribute to the engagement of digital learning and engagement

• Collaborate with teams to ensure consistency, success and achieve results together

• Own the talent development and coaching of your retail teams to exceed targets and provide career progression, upskilling and enabling Team Managers
• Manage performance effectively and timely to maximize sales and service performance
• Take ownership and manage HR cases within your team

OPERATIONS:

• Create a One Luxe communication approach to build excellent retailer relationships and collaborate with retailer to ensure success
• Monitor and report back on stock levels to optimize performance
• Ensure excellence of brand image in the stores at all times; counters, displays, team, etc
• Champion simplicity through ways of working with head office and field teams
• Financial management of budget and expenses
• Provide proactive feedback to Head Office departments to help drive collaboration between brands
• Oversee and influence across-functions to ensure a joint-up approach through Education, Artistry and Events

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous sales and team management experience, ideally within beauty industry

• Exceptional leadership and coaching skills

• Experience and understanding of effective sales techniques, customer service and proven ability to drive results

• Strong analytical skills

• Valid UK driving licence

• Strong capability on Microsoft Office (including Excel & PowerPoint ) and Outlook
