About the role:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for recruiting diverse, high-potential Talent in a high-volume, ambitious, fast-paced environment for a variety of positions. The Talent Acquisition Specialist must understand, model, and represent the Santa Clara Family Health Plan employment value proposition. This position will identify opportunities to build applicant pools, establish trust and partnerships with the managers to identify potential “fit” through effective interviewing and testing, effectively administer the interviewing and onboarding process, and ensure a positive new hire experience.

Day to Day:

• Consult with leaders, hiring managers, and human resources team on position descriptions, requisition creation, and sourcing strategies.
• Review pipeline of potential candidates in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), match applicants with job requirements based on candidate work history, skills, education, training, and other qualifications.
• Assist in building mechanisms to influence broader diversity sourcing efforts and pipelines across the Talent Acquisition team and leverage non-conventional ways.
• Source qualified candidates to build and maintain robust pipelines for multiple positions by navigating through job boards for both active and passive candidates.
• Create and foster relationships with colleges, Community Based Organizations, and Veteran Service Organizations to build talent pipeline.
• Proactively build diverse candidate pools, leveraging all available talent channels, including partnerships with diverse associations, alumni groups, and organizations.
• Evaluate applications and screen candidates via phone/email; handle interview scheduling, reserve conference rooms, and debrief meetings with recruiters, managers, and interview teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide high touch care keeping interviews on track, respond to questions professionally and timely, and assist/coordinate candidate/manager needs.
• Communicate with internal and external applicants during all phases of the recruitment process as needed.
• Ensure candidate records are complete and the recruitment process is accurately tracked and closed out in the Applicant Tracking System.
• Follow up on feedback from interview panels.
• Conduct reference checks, background checks, and follow-up as necessary.
• Occasionally arrange travel for candidates to interviews in person.
• Conduct new employee onboarding, ensuring training and all necessary documents are completed.
• Work with Talent Acquisition Lead on various initiatives and recruitment-related projects.
• Provide timely updates and collaborate with Talent Acquisition Lead on the hiring process.

About You:

• BA/BS in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience, training, or coursework.
• Minimum three years of experience in recruiting/staffing.
• Experience with utilizing online job boards such as Indeed.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.

Pay: $66,607.00 – $99,910.00 per year
