About the Role

In this role you will be joining our cutting-edge Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, staffed by teams of experienced nurses, radiographers and highly skilled cardiologists, providing a comprehensive suite of on-site cardiac services to our patients. We conduct a range of different specialties including:

• Interventional Cardiology
• Interventional Radiology
• Peripheral vascular interventions

You will be facilitating and effectively managing clinical education and competency programs across our cardiac areas. You will also be responsible for providing educational support and advice to our post-graduate students. The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services related to clinical education. You will be required to work with and support management in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring experience within a clinical educator role with extensive cardiac experience. You will be a strong problem solver with the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and be able to engage with all of our stakeholders be they medical professionals, patients or other nursing staff. This role is well suited to a passionate mentor driven to see their team members succeed and grow.

You will also bring:

• Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• 5 years’ experience in an acute hospital environment with proven Catheter Laboratory experience will be essential for this role
• Previous experience in a clinical leadership capacity or as a CNS will be highly regarded.

The flexibility to handle a rotating roster with weekend and evening shifts will also be key for this role.

The Hospital

Owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care, Warringal is proud to offer its staff and patients world class care in a contemporary environment which currently provides 215 beds, 11 state of the art operating theatres, an Intensive Care Unit and a host of other state-of-the-art facilities. We have now commenced a $180m major development which will see the hospital almost double in size, including additional beds, operating theatres, a new expanded ICU and an Emergency Department in addition to new Support Services.

Requirements

• Must be vaccinated against Covid-19 a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
