About the role
As a Payroll Specialist, you will ensure the end-to-end process of payroll runs smoothly and is completed with a high level of accuracy. This includes compliance with payroll related tax requirements, insurance, and legislation and first level of industry awards interpretation
In this role, you will deliver the following responsibilities:
  • End to end payroll processing
  • Quality control checks to ensure accuracy
  • Payroll tax calculations and lodgement
  • Overtime reporting
  • Headcount reporting
  • Ad Hoc reporting
  • Resolving payroll enquiries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Attending sessions on payroll & Workcover updates
  • Termination calculations and final payments
  • Workcover reporting and payments
  • Ensuring all insurance is updated and correct for payroll purposes
  • Quarterly superannuation review and payments
  • End of financial year PAYG requirements
  • New Employee setup
  • Interpretation of Industry awards
About You
To be successful in the role, you will bring skills and experience in:
  • Bachelor of Business/Commerce is highly regarded
  • Financial analytical experience
  • Proven commercial experience
  • Proven experience in analysing large amounts of complex data
  • Proven experience in reconciling complex accounting data
  • Maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, meeting all deadlines and managing expectations
System Experience:
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • NetSuite (highly regarded)
  • Epayroll (highly regarded)
