Full Job Description

The role of the Junior Software Tester is to collaborate and work alongside our agile development team and QA Lead ensuring functional and non-functional testing has been done to mitigate risks for delivery.

Delphi Care Solutions are a relatively new company who own IP for healthcare operation applications that aid compliance of healthcare facilities along with a team of specialists who can support the organisations to increase their compliance ratings from the CQC and other auditors. Delphi’s board of directors all have experience of operating and leading care facilities to multiple Outstanding ratings.

There is an expectation that the successful candidate will also act in the role of a support team member if questions arise from the end-user. We do this across all of our team to ensure that people have a good understanding of the end-users requirements and maintains a good working understanding of the product.

As a developing role it is expected that the right candidate will be able to excel in providing solutions that the end-users can utlise and improve the implementation and use of the product by new users – as we understand that our clients can not invest in hours of training for each end-user to our software and our offerings should be ‘pick up and play’ wherever possible.

• Knowledge of different types of software testing e.g. regression testing, user acceptance testing, exploratory testing.
• Helping on maintaining the highest quality standard in the product delivered to the user.

Desirable skills but not essential:

• 6+ month testing experience across web applications and Android
• Knowledge of bug reporting workflow & bug databases
• An understanding of the end-users business requirements which is the documentation of data within the residential care sector
• An understanding of Agile methodology
• Writing and Executing test cases
• A foundation level in ISTQB Certification
• An understanding of JIRA or similar bug tracking software

• Full time position – working hours: 9.00am – 5.30pm.
• Based within our Preston office
