Freedom Solar Power is looking for a skilled and motivated HR Generalist/Payroll Admin to join our rapidly growing team. This individual will play a key role on our team in supporting our business administratively in several HR functions, including the following: processing payroll, benefits, HRIS management, policy and compliance, as well as various HR audits. The HR Generalist/Payroll Specialist will have the opportunity to assist in the implementation of a variety of new HR processes and programs. Because the responsibilities of this role are diverse, the ideal candidate will be a resourceful person with a passion for HR who has the ability and desire to learn quickly. This is a non-remote position based at our local office.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Review, edit, and approve employees’ time keeping through ADP before processing payroll.
• Follow up with employees/managers for missed punches to ensure appropriate allocation of labor.
• Gather and enter payroll data and timesheets promptly which will be reported to the Payroll Team.
• Work with company database systems to prepare and submit weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
• Create and run reports using ADP reporting.
• Prepare reports to relevant departments about payroll, and company budgets.
• Research discrepancies, audit, and work with project teams to resolve issues before payroll.
• Assist employees in staying compliant with policies and procedures.
• Receive, enter, answer, and maintain garnishments by federal and state requirements.

• Responsible for updating employee pay records, and maintaining the confidentiality of all employees and payroll records.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of Human Resource and Payroll experience required; HR experience in construction or electrical fields highly desired.

• Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment.

• Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and Google Workspace.

• Prior experience with HRIS and Workforce ADP strongly preferred

• Multi-state HR experience highly preferred (TX, CO, FL, VA, NC)

• Understanding of general human resources and payroll policies and procedures

• Ability to problem solve and handle non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take and interpreting guidelines, procedures, policies, and practices.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
