Employment type – Ongoing full-time 35 hours per week
Salary – $101,947 – $112,479 plus super and leave loading (Clerk Grade 7/8)
Your role
This Finance Officer role will proactively contribute to the team in delivering its assigned accountability within DCJ’s overall budgeting and financial reporting processes and enable the Information and Digital Services (IDS) division to achieve budget performance and compliance with policies, statutory requirements and external regulators.
What you’ll do
You’ll focus on a range of projects and initiatives, providing leadership and support to your team.
You’ll use your well-developed financial management and accounting skills to contribute to the review and improvement of processes and systems, and the management of projects that will include project finance reporting, capitalisation of project assets, and the validation and reporting of financial information.
You’ll work as part of a team of 7 who are focussed on collaborating in a positive and friendly manner to achieve results and support decision-making, and you’ll be working in a contemporary work environment based in a state-of-the-art office building at 6 Parramatta Square, with the additional flexibility to work from home on an agreed schedule.
What we’re looking for
You’re proactive, with an interest in growth and development. You’ll have great communication skills – client interaction will play a big part of this role, so you’ll need to be comfortable providing advice and consultation with stakeholders from all levels.
You’ll be qualified in accounting, business, commerce or similar, and will have completed or be working towards your CPA/CA or equivalent qualification.
Strong experience with large and complex reporting systems such as SAP, Workday Adaptive Planning, Smartsheet or similar will be required, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
