The Global Technical Function are seeking a driven individual to perform the role of Software Download Engineer to work on a high profile, Customer Service programme.

What You’ll need

You’ll be responsible for the creation of OTX applications for TOPIx Cloud Diagnostic tool to support the Updating and Replacement of vehicle control modules.
You’ll also be responsible to ensures that the end-to-end update and replace process is implemented and supporting applications are considered and utilised within the programming procedures.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Creation of OTX procedures to be executed within TOPIx Cloud Diagnostic tool
• Verified execution of OTX procedure flow, using authoring runtime in Simulation Environment and on vehicle.
• Review of OTX requirements and data provided by Jaguar Land Rover
• Liaises with Product Engineering (PE) areas to capture requirements and concerns (via JIRA) for the development of Software Download applications for control modules for current and new model programs.
• Developing specified OTX libraries, for use in diagnostic applications, in the GradeX toolset
• Liaise with the commodity engineers who design, develop and publish diagnostic and repair information.
• Works with PE and is aware of new product technology. Make sure PE understands diagnostic requirements and develop strategies to make sure the new technology is diagnosed efficiently in the field. Review to confirm full end to end process is correct and aligned. Develop enhanced relationships with PD teams for future on-board/off-board diagnostic capability.
• Proactively, using acquired knowledge and experience as well as relevant tools and methods, develop software download applications.
• Identify process improvements on current published procedures for software download applications.
• Liaise with engineers to create technical fixes for vehicle concerns by being the single point of contact for support issues within the Technical Service function
• Work with PE and central quality reps to establish the list of Job#1 Software Download Applications required, for the agreed functional areas, for new programs and sub-systems.
