Diverse, dynamic and entrepreneurial Australian proprietary company is looking for a Assistant
Accountant or Bookkeeper who is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Please see the list of tasks and responsibilities for the Temp Assistant Accountant Role:

• Daily Bank Reconciliations
• Reconciling receivables accounts including merchant payment processors & ATM
• Invoice approval for AP processing
• Reviewing AP statement reconciliations and uploading payment file for authorisation
• Assisting with Accounts Payable / Receivable (including. Invoice Processing and Invoice Generation)
• Assisting with Operations queries
• Processing Payroll data
• Lodging price discrepancy claims to Vendors
• Responsible for Monthly Reporting packs / preparation of BAS

About You:

• Proven experience using accounting software and system
• Ideally experienced in AP, AR processes
• Strong numeracy skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Able to train such employees by means of personal instruction and demonstration where required.
• No formal qualifications are necessary for the Assistant Accountant role, however a degree in finance or economics would be beneficial. A Certificate in Business or Financial Services would also be highly regarded.
