The Opportunity

BlueScope Distribution is a provider of single-source product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.

People are our strength, and in this exciting role, you will play an integral part in supporting the BlueScope Distribution Business to achieve and enhance its strategic outcomes through its people – resulting in a high performing culture and engaged workforce.

Based out of Unanderra, the opportunity includes a competitive remuneration package including our profit share program (annual bonus) and flexible work options. What Will You Do?

As a recent graduate, you will:

• assist the broader HR team in the execution of strategic growth projects, business cases and initiatives
• coordinate and lead people metrics for BlueScope Distribution including reporting and analysis
• manage and coordinate our traineeship program
• support the business with all people matters including recruitment, workforce planning, talent and succession and inclusion and diversity projects

More About You

Along with your passion for learning, you will bring:

• a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar
• willingness and desire to learn
• influencing and relationship management skills
• a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to translate and deliver key customer requirements
• basic experience in recruitment is advantageous but not essential
