This is remote-flexible role, open to applicants from across Australia. Our preference is for Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney as this is where a majority of our team is based.

As part of the Loan Market Group technology team you will contribute to:

• Technical leadership
• Engineering practices
• Software development
• Production operations
• Software and cloud infrastructure improvement and maintenance
• Technical support
• Rapid prototyping
• Product design

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver solutions relying on your experience to apply respected development principals
• Ensure solutions are well tested using the correct methodology for the problem, taking ownership of the change all the way to production
• Assist with the technical decisions made and implemented across all products created by the team.
• Lead, by example and as a mentor, other team members towards a positive development culture.
• Refine live software products based on performance metrics and customer feedback.
• Validate new product concepts with rapid prototyping.
• Contribute to a technology ecosystem of in-house software, purchased products and 3rd-party integrations.
• Provide technical support to the customers and customer-facing corporate staff that use our software.
• Proactively learn new skills and technology that can advance product development within the team.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Academic qualifications preferred, not essential – Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar;
• Experience developing web-based software in a team environment;
• Strong communicator;
• Understands software is a team sport;
• Interested in the business models of software products, not just the technical challenges of programming;
• Familiarity with Agile/Shape Up environments and flexibility to adopt our processes

Required:

• .NET 6 and ASP.NET
• Git/GitHub

Desirable:

• Mobile app development experience (Native/ReactNative/Flutter)
• GraphQL
• Experience using Dapr or distributed applications
• Event driven architecture and abstraction libraries e.g. MassTransit
• Dev ops – Bash scripting, Github Actions, Infra as code (terraform), AWS and Octopus Deploy
• Docker Desktop
• OpenTelementry and Honeycomb
