The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, as our Finance Assistant you’ll be a key member of a small finance team, helping the efficient running of the function and taking ownership of operational finance processes.

You will work closely with the manufacturing and operations teams to support alignment on key processes and information.

Responsibilities

• Completing weekly multi-currency bank reconciliations for our global operation.
• Maintain accurate accounts in Xero, working closely with the manufacturing and operations team.
• Managing accounts payable function, ensuring the smooth running of weekly and monthly pay runs.
• Dealing with internal and external accounts-related queries.
• Help our Finance Manager to prepare efficient month-end accounts schedules and reconciliations.
• Prepare sales tax/VAT reports for UK, EU and US operations.
• Responsible for Fixed assets register and maintaining prepayment schedule.
• Ownership of day-to-day finance admin and processes.
• Prepare ad hoc analytical reports.
• Support continuous improvement of the finance system and processes.

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in bookkeeping and accounting work in a fast-paced environment.
• AAT qualified or Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA.
• Must have previous working experience in Xero.
• Strong spreadsheet skills with the ability to manipulate data and produce reports.
