Overview
This is a half-time 12-month non-tenure track teaching position in the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Sciences at the level of Professional Practice Assistant Professor. Teaching assignments will include both face-to-face and online instruction.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have these primary responsibilities.

• 95% teaching, including instruction at the undergraduate and graduate level, and mentoring graduate students in our online Master of Dietetic Administration program.
• Teach courses in the areas of food service, management, and leadership in both undergraduate and graduate level dietetics programs.
• 5% service to the university, including active participation and leadership on department, college, and university committees deemed relevant to the departments missions and appropriate for the position description.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
• Certified Dietitian in Utah, or eligible to become certified in the State of Utah within 6 months of hire.
• Masters degree recipient in dietetics, management or a related discipline.
• Two years of experience working and/or teaching in the area of food service management.
• Independent worker with strong writing, computer, time management, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Evidence of teaching excellence at the collegiate level.
• Three years of experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
• Experience with managing a research and or commercial kitchen.
• Experience with writing and maintaining standard operating procedures for a research and/or commercial kitchen.
• Experience with leadership and management in dietetics.
