We are looking for two experienced Talent Acquisition Specialists to join our growing Talent Acquisition team at Sovereign, on a Fixed term basis for 12 months. We’re going through an exciting period of change and transformation at Sovereign, with our corporate plan setting out some ambitious goals for the business. You’ll be working at the forefront of attracting and securing diverse talent to support in achieving these goals.

Based from our head office in Basingstoke, you’ll combine a mix of home and office working to ensure a positive work / life balance.

The Role

Reporting to one of our Talent Acquisition Business Partners, you’ll be part of a team of 8 supporting to drive the Talent Acquisition agenda for Sovereign. This role will play a key part in the Business Partnering service for Talent Acquisition, working alongside the business to deliver end to end resourcing solutions. We have ambitious targets and are on our way to creating a true centre of excellence for Talent Acquisition.

We have a balanced mix of volume and niche recruitment at all levels and recruit up to 700 roles per year. This role covers delivery of 360 recruitment but is also responsible for managing and advising stakeholders and candidates in a way that offers the best possible experience for everyone involved. We are lateral thinkers and want to be ahead of the game moving from reactive to proactive partnering of our stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering end to end recruitment solutions for assigned business areas, managing attraction utilising direct methods, social media channels as well as through preferred suppliers
• Developing strong partnerships with the hiring managers and business leaders in your areas, instilling trust and promoting the TA team
• Working closely with the business and HR Business Partners to gain a clear understanding of the overarching business strategy and deliverables for each area you are responsible for and how this impacts on resourcing/headcount plans
• Using meaningful MI to analyse performance and trends which informs recommendations for process improvement activity
• Undertaking project work to support the Talent Acquisition strategy and wider People plans

What we need from you

You’ll have demonstrable experience at a similar level in an in-house resourcing function. You should enjoy hands on 360 recruitment as well as getting involved in strategy setting and project work. We’re looking for people who can be marketeers, researchers, negotiators but also really understand the importance of great candidate experience.

A background in trades and property services or Corporate functions such as IT and Finance would be beneficial.

To be successful in this role you’ll:

• Have proven knowledge and experience across all areas of the recruitment lifecycle
• Be adept at identifying opportunities and smarter ways of attracting and supporting diverse talent into the business
• Have strong experience across a variety of social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Glassdoor
• Hold experience of developing and maintaining relationships with 3rd party suppliers ensuring quality and value for money
• Have the ability to effectively prioritise your workload, taking an agile approach and adapting readily to change
• Demonstrate strong stakeholder and candidate engagement skills, forming trusted relationships and ensuring a positive experience throughout their interactions with the TA team
