St. Charles Community College Hiring for Transfer Credit Coordinator at Cottleville, Missouri Full Time

We are seeking a full-time Transfer Credit Coordinator. This position will record, enter, and evaluate all incoming transfer course work and administer a comprehensive transcript evaluation system. This position will perform academic credential review and maintenance. Support the Academic Credentials Manager with the Missouri Reverse Transfer Program

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Record, enter, and evaluate transfer credit evaluations, including traditional and nontraditional college credit.
• Research information from other institutions in order to make a determination of transferability and equivalency of prior coursework. Correspond with those institutions when necessary.
• Communicate with faculty and academic counselors as needed.
• Maintain the online transcript database within Colleague.
• Review CLEP, PEP, AP, and departmental exam results for equivalencies.
• Assist with the Missouri Reverse Transfer initiative by evaluating transcripts to determine what SCC courses are equivalent to the courses taken by the student at other institutions.
• Maintain the 42 hour set of common core courses established by MDHE. Determine which SCC courses equate to the courses of other participating institutions.
• Interpret, evaluate and determine how courses that students transfer from other institutions equate with SCC courses to award transfer credit.
• Process online transcript orders.
• Process transcript requests and troubleshoot issues with request.
• Assist with registration and data entry as needed.
• Answer phones and assist with walk-in students with questions/inquiries related to credit evaluations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Ellucian,Colleague, Microsoft Office, and general office equipment required. Experience with interpreting college transcripts, test results and academic credentials.
