On behalf of my client, I am currently looking for an absolute Expert in Tax Planning to join their office in Rockhampton. The firm prides itself on having a genuinely brilliant culture. The business is big on training & development and ensures that everyone, from Graduate to Partner is equipped with the right tools and skills to provide high-level advice.

About the role:

  • Preparation of financial statements, business activity statements and income tax returns for all entity types
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients
  • Able to demonstrate good commercial judgement and knowledge
  • Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory agencies on the client’s behalf
  • Monitoring and reporting any relevant tax-related changes, assessing those and implementing changes based on your judgement

About you:

  • Tertiary degree in accounting/finance or a similar qualification
  • Proficient with software such as Xero, MYOB, Reckon, QuickBooks and Microsoft Suite
  • At least two years of local experience in a public practice environment
  • Proven ability to manage and build relationships with clients
  • Proactive, collaborative, and able to think on your feet
