The role of Financial Accountant working in Plan and Support Services (PSS) provides the collation of all financial information required by various statutory authorities and involved in the continuous improvement of systems and processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide PSS month end results within set timeframes.
- Provide regular reports to Senior Management on financial and operating data.
- Assist in the annual budget and quarterly reforecast process and all other financial reports as required.
- Integrate and account for new products, business and business reporting changes
- Prepare cashflow forecasts on a timely basis
- Maintain the system of financial and subsidiary ledgers of a standard for accurate and efficient reporting
- Establish and continually modify financial and general accounting procedures and systems
- Ensure adequate standards, systems and procedures are maintained in all aspects of financial reporting to enhance the interpretation of financial data and reports are delivered in a timely and complete manner
- Identify and action on process improvement opportunities
- Ensure all financial and taxation regulatory compliance are met with respect to the transactions and business of the company
- Contribute to the ongoing development of management information provided to internal contacts.
- Participate as a member of the Finance team in all financial planning and assist in MMS Group management requests when required
You will bring:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proficient in using MS Excel
- Experience with databases / structures / large amounts of data
- Qualifications – CA / CPA
