The Ranch at Rock Creek Hiring for Reservations Agent at Philipsburg, Montana Full Time

Primary Purpose of Position

1. Answer all incoming reservation calls in a polite and hospitable manner.
2. Follow the Leading Quality Assurance Standards for Reservations (see attached).
3. Anticipate guest needs by asking probing questions about their upcoming visit
4. Note and confirm the reservation with all pertinent guest information.
5. Accurately classify VIP codes per the hotel’s VIP procedures.
6. Communicate extraordinary requests, guest issues and any other pertinent information to management.
7. Maintain paper and online files in a neat and orderly fashion.
8. Maintain a neat work area.
9. Maintain accurate notes and traces to ensure full and proper follow-up to reservations action items.
10. Communicate guest concerns, requests and special requirements in a timely manner to appropriate departments.
11. Assist the Reservations Manager in managing hotel operations to maximize profitability and growth.
12. Assist the Director of Sales in entering and maintaining room group blocks
13. Ensure maximum room occupancy in line with company policies on rates and reservation rules. Achieve room revenue goals.

Education/Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Previous call center experience beneficial
3. Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook mandatory.
4.  Springer Miller experience beneficial.
5. College or university qualifications beneficial. 
6. Experience should include prior hotel operations experience

Special Skills/Equipment

1.  Must have at least a high school diploma and Bi-lingual in English/Spanish beneficial
2. Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English.
3. Ability to write complex correspondence.
4. Ability to hold and comprehend phone conversations.
5. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and payments.
6. Ability to work with ease with US$.
7. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
8. Ability to deal with problems with several variables.
9. Use of a 10 key adding machine.
10. Personal Computer Experience
11. Use of Word, Excel and Outlook
12. Basic Accounting skills
13. Ability to deal with written and reasoning skills.
14. Ability to fully comprehend complex equipment instructions
15. Ability to be seated and work on a computer for long periods of time.
