BAT IS LOOKING FOR A HR Business Partner

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
To support the delivery of HR strategies, processes and programmes for the Global SR&D organisation through the provision of professional HR advice, support, coordination and analytics. SR&D comprises Scientific Research, US SR&D, New Categories R&D and Combustibles R&D. Whilst under different Management Board members, the Global SR&D HR team owns and drives the talent strategy globally. This role will support that talent management agenda.
The role will also involve significant day-to-day HRBP support for the Southampton based SR&D employees (c.600)
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Provide professional HR advice and support. Handle day to day operational issues for managers and employees in designated populations, working closely with HRBPs and GBS HR.
Understand and implement Global HR strategies, processes and programs, and contribute to the continuous development and improvement of global processes and systems by giving regular feedback to the respective CoE/process owner.
Monitor and support joiners/ movers/ exits/ retention planning as required – this includes fulfilling resourcing demands by coordinating with line managers, GBS HR and HRBPs; ensuring efficient on boarding and supporting any ER/IR matters.
Supports effective governance by owning and tracking key reports or dashboards.
Conduct necessary monitoring, analysis and insights as required in preparation for various Lead Team presentations and ad-hoc meetings or strategic reviews.
Support the performance calibration and TRM by generating relevant analysis, insights and preparatory documents.
Contribute to specific functional OE / OD / productivity / Employee Engagement initiatives or projects – this includes Your Voice analysis and action planning.
Coordinate and support delivery of Functional L&D activities and programs as required.
Contribute to the planning and execution of Diversity & Inclusion initiatives as required
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Solid rounded HR professional, preferably with generalist experience
Good experience managing core HR processes and systems
Ideally understands local employment practices/laws
Commercial orientation
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
Able to maintain confidentiality and build relationships at all levels, including building credibility with senior managers
Takes initiative and comfortably operates in a constantly evolving environment
Resilience / tenacity to deliver results in an environment of ambiguity associated with organizational change
Experience of operating in a highly matrix organization
