Coventry Building Society Hiring for Software Engineer – Development Job at Coventry, England Full Time

The Software engineer will join an already established team within CBS. Will be able to complete tasks to agreed level of quality within stated timescales with minimal supervision. Looks for improvement opportunity within the team and its processes / procedures.

We want you to help us make our evolution a success so in this role you’ll be:

• Designing and developing quality software solutions
• Challenging and improving our processes, tools and approach
• Sharing your expertise
• Supporting our solutions, occasionally out of hours

As a professional software engineer you’ll have experience in:

• C# and .Net
• Working in Agile environments, preferably SCRUM
• Code and version control using GitHub or equivalent
• Automated testing techniques and testing framework
• Software development experience in a commercial environment

Desirable skills:

• Continuous integration/deployment
• Test driven development and/or behavior driven development
• Database development using Microsoft SQL or Oracle PL/SQL
• Understanding of Cloud Technologies, preferably AWS
