ABOUT THE ROLE
Isaac Regional Council (IRC) is seeking an energetic and forward-thinking Finance Officer to join our Accounts Payable team, based within the Isaac Region. The Financial Services Department ensures an integrated approach to internal organisational services across the organisation, responsible for budget and statutory reporting, payroll, insurance and accounting functions incorporating all operations of Council.

This position reports to the Team Leader Accounts Payable, and is primarily responsible for specific functions associated with accounts payable across Isaac Regional Council. This role also works closely with the Contracts and Procurement Team.

ABOUT YOU

• High level experience in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, is required.
• Competent in the use of accounting software.
• Experience utilising the Technology One system and experience in a similar position would be highly advantageous.
• Well-developed administrative and numeracy skills and the capacity to maintain attention to detail.
• Whilst under general supervision, the ability to plan effectively and prioritise workload in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet multiple deadlines.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
