Assistant Accountant
  • Exciting opportunity to work within the Finance and Logistics portfolio of The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
  • Hybrid work model
  • Permanent – Full Time Position, 80 hours a fortnight
Your new role:

This great opportunity is a key role in supporting the delivery of comprehensive suite of financial accounting services with a customer service focus.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be an integral part of the finance team. You will be supporting the finance team in a range of areas, while constantly learning and gaining experience in various accounting functions. Your key duties will include but not be limited to:
  • Working collaboratively to assist in month end close process, balance sheet reconciliations, capital accounting tasks, annual statutory reporting and other legislative compliance
  • Helping identify and drive process improvements
About you:
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance or a related discipline and aspiring to or working towards CPA or CA
  • Highly driven, proactive and self-starter
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a pressured environment, possess the ability to problem solve and have a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent Excel skills
