Works Manager/General Foreman

Freelance Works Manager or General Foreman required for an interesting civil engineering project in a marine environment.

Working on a £25 m project you will be required to manage a number of specialist sub contractors carrying out large piling and earthworks packages of work. You also be required to manage the self delivery aspects to include installation of tie rods, anchor walls and a capping beam.

This work will be carried out with tidal constraints and some aspects carried out from barges so any previous experience in this environment would be beneficial.

Duties will include the management and coordination of on site activities to ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with specification. You will be required to check sub-contractors have the correct paperwork to proceed with duties, safety checks have been carried out for plant and machinery, inductions, daily briefings and driving the works to meet deadlines.

The company are a regional contractor operating in civil engineering and construction projects. They carry out work throughout Bristol, Swindon, Hampshire, Somerset and Dorset.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Required to have proven experience working as General Foreman or Works manager in the marine sector and certification to include SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
