Overview of Role
To provide support to the Finance team delivering the financial accounting and reporting for Rothschild & Co’s UK Wealth Management (“R&CoWMUK”) business and assume end-to-end responsibility for related Finance work as assigned (e.g. financial, management, statutory and regulatory information).
Responsibilities
Management Reporting
  • Assist the Finance Manager in London for the Wealth Management reporting
  • Assist Divisional Finance team (based in Zurich) with preparation of Management Reporting data
  • Manage the end-to-end accounts payable and receivable process for the Wealth Management business
  • Key point of contact for internal expense management
  • Delivery of accounting data at a granular level (cost centre / profit centre) to the Divisional Finance team for preparation of their monthly reporting
Financial Accounting and Reporting
  • To provide support in the preparation of the monthly Financial Statements, both management and statutory, of R&CoWMUK.
  • Assist in the preparation of Annual Reports, and providing support for the annual audits
  • Assist in managing the operating costs of R&CoWMUK, including analysis, challenge, and monthly reconciliations of key cost areas.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Finance point of contact
  • Dealing with ad-hoc requests, including Wealth Management Business, Group Finance and Divisional Financial Accounting
  • Liaise and support the Divisional Finance team (based in Zurich) in the forecasting and budgeting process
  • Preparation of data for Internal and External Auditors
Skills and Qualifications Required
Successful candidates are likely to have:
  • Highly organised & reliable, strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and a fine attention to detail
  • Proactive self-starter, proficient time management and multi-tasking
  • Professional demeanour and strong interpersonal skills
  • Secondary level education and will commence an accounting qualification (ACCA/AAT).
  • Strong Excel skills, particularly relevant given the analytical nature of the job
  • Good IT skills
  • Flexibility, “can-do” attitude with high quality standards
