About the opportunity

Australia Post is going through immense growth. To meet the business demand, we are looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our friendly and dynamic team.

You will have experience in Back-end technologies with a focus on Spring Boot, AWS and Java, working using agile framework and have around 1 year – 2 years’ experience

You will be

• Undertaking development activities required to deliver technology solutions that meet the business needs.
• Contributing to the estimation, design, build and testing of software components.
• Applying critical thinking to solve problems across the development lifecycle.
• Working closely with senior developers and Technical Lead to implement solution aligned with solution architecture and consistent with industry and Australia Post enterprise standards
• Demonstrate understanding of enterprise s/w development practices
• Demonstrate understanding and application of current standards
• Producing high quality work

About you

You have Proven industry experience in software development and have a passion for learning new back-end practices. You will have experience working collaboratively in a team and understand current back-end development standards and enterprise software development practices.

You’ll also need

• Experience with AWS or other cloud services
• Experience with Java software development, including Spring/MVC
• Experience with Java based Microservices as an added advantage
• Experience working with REST API’s
• Experience with React, and Angular a nice to have
• An understanding of modern software development and design best practices
• Experience with Git and SCM tools, including Gitlab, Github or Bitbucket
• Exposure to CI/CD tools, such as Gitlab, Bamboo, AWS, etc.
