Western General Bodyworks is one of the nation’s largest independent collision repair company. We are a rapidly expanding smash repair service with a growing number of fixed repair centres in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.

About the role:

We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented fresh graduate to execute a variety of accounting and finance functions of the business, reporting directly to our CFO. This role will be responsible for an accurate month end close process and reconciliations, monthly financial reporting and annual reporting processes. They will play a key role in developing and enhancing existing reporting for the Executive team.

Key responsibilities, include, but not limited to:

• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll systems.
• Manage cash flow position – timely and accurate maintenance of cash flow position and bank reconciliation.
• Preparation and lodgement of BAS, PAYG, FBT, state payroll tax and superannuation guarantee contributions.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports including accruals, prepayments and other journals.
• Liaise with external bodies regarding accounting and taxation matters including, but not limited to the ATO and ASIC.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance.
• Knowledge of statutory requirements relating to BAS, GST and payroll tax.
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts including accruals and prepayments.

Salary: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
