The Role

This role is a 12 Month Contract.

The Senior Financial Analyst will join Anglicare’s finance team and focus on the Children’s & Family stream of services. In this role you will provide financial leadership through understanding and interpretation of financial results and performance trends. The role requires partnering with management and other operational leaders to develop and deliver: budgets; in depth performance reporting; forecasting; and performance scorecard and dashboard development. The focus is on analysis to promote performance improvement and reporting against key performance indicators.

Some of the duties of this role will include…

• Develop and deliver the annual operational planning and budgeting/forecasting cycles.
• Deliver planned outputs, operational workloads and staff training, within established timeframes.
• Recommend and implement performance indicators and targets that support business strategy.
• Assist to develop management reporting processes, stakeholder communications and timetables.
• Lead and challenge operational leaders in the review of performance, evaluation of business practices and research into potential solutions to optimise business opportunities as well as address performance issues in a timely manner.
• Support Manager Planning and Performance and Group Manager CAF to collaborate with stakeholders to enable delivery of high quality service and advice.
• Comply with reporting policies and procedures; identify, recommend and implement improvements.
• Provide support to ensure all risks associated with business strategy and planning decisions are identified and monitored and appropriate risk mitigation strategies are in place.

Ideal Experience & Skillset

• Professional accounting qualifications (CA, CPA, CIMA) or currently studying highly desirable.
• Accounting experience in a multi-program organisation with many designated cost centres.
• Understanding of how to develop, analyse, evaluate and report on financial and performance metrics, whilst working to strict deadlines and time constraints.
• Developing budgets and forecasts within a multi-program organisation – preferably aged care, community services or non-profit.
• High quality written communication skills including briefings notes, reports and presentations.
• Relationship and rapport building, with the capacity to relate to a wide range of stakeholders, problem solving and negotiation skills.
