Description:
The IBM Weather Company QA team is currently seeking an SQA Engineer to join their highly collaborative, Agile team. TWC uses
testing methodology that allows the QA Engineers to focus in on the high risk areas in the products. We use a blend of exploratory
testing, test case execution and automation to test our products giving the tester the ability to drive their test focus.
In this role you will be testing TWC’s Web Based applications as well as Mobile apps.
Responsibilities:
ï‚· Maintain and execute manual and automated test cases and test strategies
ï‚· Analyze product issues and document appropriately using online bug tracking application.
ï‚· Effectively communicate status on projects including roadmap milestones and accomplishments.
ï‚· Create, document and maintain test plans and coverage confidence for both existing and new product functionality.
ï‚· Work with developers, support staff and customers to investigate, root cause and document functional & technical issues.
ï‚· Be a conduit or liaison for information flow on product issues.
ï‚· Become knowledgeable and proficient in the use of WSI Media products.
Qualifications:
ï‚· BS degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or Meteorology.
Skills/Competencies Required:
ï‚· Systematic approach to problem solving, strong analytical skills.
ï‚· Self-motivated, willing to learn new concepts and products quickly.
ï‚· Strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills and must be able to present difficult concepts clearly and concisely to
both a technical and non-technical audience.
ï‚· Experience with Mobile/Web applications
Additional Skills/Competencies Desired:
ï‚· Computer skills with an exposure to a variety of operating systems including Microsoft and web technologies
ï‚· Knowledge in QA process and testing methodologies.
ï‚· Experience testing on a variety of operating systems, including: Microsoft based products.
ï‚· Experience with Android and iOS operating systems
ï‚· Weather knowledge is a plus.
