The Guildhall School of Business and Law wants to build on recent
advances in research (trebling the number of academics returned and
improving the quality profile of its research), the student experience
(3rd nationally in overall satisfaction in Business, 7th in Economics,
12th in Law, and 19th in Accounting (CUG)), and student recruitment
through appointment to a number of new academic positions.

We are looking for exceptional teachers and researchers and
practitioners committed to realising the ambition articulated in the
University’s Strategic Plan.

ABOUT THE POST

The post requires the undertaking of a full range of academic duties
including teaching, scholarly activity and research.

Our team of academics are able to offer both synchronous and
asynchronous teaching and learning experiences onsite and online to
students as required in respect of professionally accredited
undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Accounting and Finance.

The post requires the ability to support and teach to the standards set
by Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs) such as
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered
Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Chartered Financial Analyst
(CFA) Institute, and/or Chartered Banker Institute (CBI).

We are particularly interested in enthusiastic and committed individuals
who have expertise in the use and application of relevant
software/packages, such as Sage, Excel, EViews, NVivo, SPSS and
Bloomberg, to teaching and researching in the subject area of Accounting

and Finance.
