Millbank Holdings Looking for Engineering Technician at Kettering Full Time

About the role
Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician to join their expanding residential housing developer, to work in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
You will Coordinate all site-specific Engineering production information from both internally and from external consultants. These could be from: –

Externally: –

• External design consultants: – Structural & Civil Engineers, Ground Investigations etc
• Gas, Water, Electric, Telecoms service providers
• Specialist suppliers: – Pumping stations, Retaining structures, Foundation Engineering etc.
• Regulatory Approval organisations: – Local Authority, NHBC, EPA etc

Internal:

• Land & Planning, Operations, Commercial and Sales departments

 
What you’ll be doing
As an Engineering Technician, you will have the following accountabilities:

• Design input and coordination of highway, drainage and structural works
• Critique of external consultant information for accuracy and commercial viability
• Secure regulatory approvals for Engineering Design and any remediation
• Liaison with Local Authority highways and drainage departments to ensure compliance with their requirements
• Input into the adoption process for roads, sewers and POS
• Provide Engineering support to the site teams
• Pursue site adoptions and bond reductions at the earliest opportunity
• Input into the pre-construction information pack
• Input into ensuring that all regulatory compliance / approvals are gained in a timely manner and in line with the overall program
• Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm
• Input into the handover procedure of Engineering information to the operations team
• Liaison with other disciplines to ensure fully coordinated design strategy and solutions
• Ensure duties are carried out in line with company standards relating to Quality, Healthy & Safety and Sustainability issues

Who we’re looking for
You will have the following:
Ideally an experienced Engineering Technician with a strong background in the coordination of the Engineering consultants and Regulatory Authorities.

Experienced in:

• New build residential development (housing and apartments)
• Coordination of external Engineering teams

• Value engineering
• Regulatory compliance

Experience of a similar role within a plc volume housebuilder as well software competence specifically in AutoCAD but also including MS Word, and Excel

Personal Characteristics:
Good written, verbal and communications skills
Self-motivated and well organised with the ability to operate efficiently with minimal supervision
