Job brief:
• As a Solutions Engineer working within the Vehicle Restraint Systems division, you will be
• working alongside the sales and commercial teams, in order to solve customer challenges that will range from safety, compliance implementation to design and seek to find cost effective solutions
• You will be engaging with customers Product Installers, Scheme Designers, Scheme Delivery Partners, Highways Authorities and Specifiers as well as supporting the internal commercial teams
• You will be processing relevant scheme layout drawings and technical specifications and preparing technical drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor
• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved
• Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of the proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
• Whilst this role will mainly be based at the site in Bilston there may be situations where you have to visit the customers off site to discuss projects etc
You:
• Applications are welcomed from people who have experience and knowledge of highways practices with some knowledge of DMRB and MCHW standards.
• Qualified either by experience apprenticeship or a HND/C in Civil Engineering
• Competent user of AutoCAD or Inventor 2 & 3D as well as a good knowledge of MS office
• Has a customer centric attitude and a friendly and approachable nature as well as being a great organiser and time manager
• You may have previously worked as a Sales Engineer, Pre-sales Engineer, or Applications Engineer
