Schneidermans Furniture Hiring for Staff Accountant Job at Plymouth, MN Full Time

Schneiderman’s Furniture is looking for a numbers person to join our team as a Staff Accountant! This position will office out of our Plymouth location reporting into our Controller.

Our growing Minnesota company has been in the furniture business for over three generations with a mission of exceptional experiences, quality product all at affordable prices. We are looking for this position to join the ranks and grow with us.

What your responsibilities would be:

• Create, post and reconcile transactions
• Prepare and process accounts payable

• Prepare and enter various month-end accrual, reclass, general, and recurring journal entries

• Verify customer receipts and deposits for accuracy
• Manage credit card reconciliation
• Manage online order processing
• Process payroll
• Analyze and summarize financial information
• Prepare error-free accounting reports
• Prepare other various reports
• Prepare and complete special projects assigned by management
• Assist in Monthly Close process
• Plan for year-end close
• Assist in year-end process
• Other duties as assigned

What we’d like to see from you:

• Four-year degree in accounting
• 2+ years of overall accounting experience
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
• Critical Thinking Skills
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Willing to learn new all in one accounting and furniture store software
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Skills
• Report Writer experience a plus
• Accuracy and attention to details
• Must have strong quality control and compliance standards
• Ability to multi-task as well as work independently
• Ability to work well with others
