What you’ll do

  • Create extremely well-crafted front-end web applications using NextJS, HTML & CSS
  • Write resilient code that will be continuously tested, deployed and perform at scale
  • Be part of a self-organising and cross functional Agile team
  • Utilise pair-programming on a regular basis and mentor less experienced developers where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the team’s technical direction and the improvement of its tools and processes
  • Be responsible for ensuring our applications are highly performant, resilient, secure and monitored in production
  • Actively participate in some of the administrative activities within the team, i.e. recruitment, planning and estimation, refinement, etc
  • Embrace working with a wide range of technologies, including but not limited to NextJS, NodeJS, GraphQL, Typescript, HTML, CSS, GCP, Docker, Jest, Testcafe, Circle CI, Octopus Deploy, Akamai and Kubernetes
What you’ll bring
  • Solid commercial experience in JavaScript development
  • Good understanding of development best practices such as pair programming, TDD, continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Good understanding of/experience with CI tools (e.g.,Concourse, Circle CI) and testing frameworks
  • Good communication skills. A strong ability to explain your logic and challenge the logic of others.
  • A passion for Agile methodologies and concepts such as Scrum, XP, Lean, and Kanban.
  • Experience with optimising web applications in areas such as performance, security and resilience
  • Ability and enthusiasm to push for new improvements across the code base and influence/learn from a large community of developers
