Edovate Learning is an EdTech company focused on providing preK-12 homeschool curriculum to students and families. Edovate is currently looking for a freelance copy editor to collaborate with the internal team as part of a curriculum project focused on grades 1-6 for Math with an anticipated end date of May 2023.Responsibilities:
- Edit manuscripts for adherence to CMOS as well as Edovate’s style guide.
- Make grammatical, spelling, and convention corrections to manuscripts in preparation for print and digital production.
- Rewrite manuscripts for clarity and appropriateness where needed.
- Reduce word counts for layout within print templates as needed.
- Verify manuscript copy is accurate and original or properly cited.
Requirements:
- mastery of English grammar, spelling, and conventions
- acute attention to detail
- experience with elementary education
- familiarity with both digital and print production requirements and specifications
- ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- experience working with Google Suite
- Offer contingent on signing an Edovate contract.
