JOB SUMMARY

This is a full time Accounting Manager position with generous health benefits, PTO/Holidays, 401(k), and more.

The position has responsibility for all accounting functions of the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association (NLTRA) and the North Lake Tahoe Marketing Cooperative (NLTMC), as well as manage other functions related to the operations of NLTRA.

The individual will also assist with other accounting duties as necessary and should possess strong organizational and communication skills as well as a strong attention to detail and a high level of work ethic.

The individual will supervise the Staff Accountant position

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Responsible for managing all accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting for both NLTRA and NLTMC

• Follow set procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records in accordance with GAAP and to ensure adequate internal controls

• Prepare monthly financials, monitor financial performance, and issue related reports to the Management Team, Finance Committee, NLTRA Board of Directors and the County of Placer

• Assist with preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow for all operations

• Work with the NLTRA Management Team to prepare routine reports

• Prepare the corporation’s fiscal year-end financial report and work closely with auditors on preparation of the company’s annual audited financial statements

• Supervise and manage the Staff Accountant and all his/her associated duties

• Responsible for timely and accurate reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts

• Assist in special projects as assigned by CEO, Finance Director & Finance Committee, or the Board of Directors

• Communicate information with the Management Team as to the financial status of their specific department

• Participate as a member on the Management Team

• Meet with the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association’s Finance Committee monthly to report on the financial position of NLTRA and NLTMC

• Regularly attend monthly NLTRA Board of Directors meetings and other committee or community meetings as requested

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to the County of Placer as required in the contract with the County

OTHER ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Performs other duties as assigned or requested

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES

· Excellent command of GAAP

· Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

· Experience with budget development, management, and tracking

· Experience presenting financial reporting to management

· Experience working in a small team environment

EDUCATION

· Four-year accounting degree from an academic institution or commensurate experience; CPA designation preferred

· Minimum 3 years in a management & accounting role.

LICENSES/PERMITS REQUIRED:

· Valid CA/NV driver’s license

· Valid ID, Green Card or Resident Card if not a US Citizen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
