Global leader in packaged food products is looking for a Finance Director to support Corporate Operations at their Kansas City, Missouri location—$1 bil. division of a $5 bil. company. The Director will be the strategic partner and lead the finance teams for various departments; providing support and guidance for all financial aspects of the business units to ensure a high degree of financial oversight, cost optimization, planning and analysis.
This is a role that is externally focused and enables the Sales, Marketing and Retail teams to accelerate profitable topline growth. The candidate needs to have strong analytical skills, business acumen, and strong communication skills. This position will work within the finance department and report to the CFO with a high level of exposure to Senior Management including the VP of Sales, VP of Marketing, VP of Innovation and the VP of Retail. Total 1st-year compensation will likely fall in the $225k-$250k range (salary AND bonus).
The ideal candidate will have: • several years Financial Management experience in CPG (consumer packaged goods) manufacturing • a few years experience leading or managing teams • Strong Sales Finance and Trade finance experience • Proficiency in Excel • Strong understanding of Databases and Business Intelligence Tools (SAP BI, Hyperion, Cognos preferred) • Willingness to drive and implement change • Team player who leads by example This packaged food products producer has experienced 7%/year growth over the past 15 years; high-visibility role with global opportunities (operations on the West Coast, East Coast, Southwest and Europe).
