Job Title: Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager responsibilities include:

• Responsible for preparing and posting journal entries, creating detailed reports, and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Responsible for preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliation workbook for each entity and providing first level review to present to Controller for final review.
• Coordinate completion of daily, weekly and monthly accounting milestones to ensure completeness, consistency and correctness of financial data reported in MTD KPI’s and month-end financial statements.
• Summarize current financial status by collecting information and assisting in the preparation of balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Support sales & use tax filing in numerous states for all entities.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Comply with all company, local, state, and federal accounting, tax and financial regulations.
• Support of internal and external audits.
• Account for and reconcile consolidation of intercompany accounts.
• Maintain fixed asset register and associated depreciation schedules.
• Support the maintenance of state registrations for each entity in all applicable jurisdictions.
• Maintain financial security by following internal controls and company policies.
• Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping company financial information confidential.
• Coordinate with staff accountants, accounts receivable & accounts payable specialists to ensure that deadlines are met with emphasis on accuracy.
• Responsible for coordinating weekly staff meeting for accountants and AR/AP.
• Drive monthly closing schedule to ensure milestones are met by all staff members.
• Lead intercompany reconciliation process in last week of month pre-close and finalize intercompany reconciliation during closing.
• Manage sales & use tax process for Portfolio companies.
• Review all balance sheet reconciliations to ensure reconciliations are correct and complete tying to the trial balance.
• Coordinate completion of weekly KPI report including simulation of month to date weekly close.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.

• Experience working with multiple legal entities.
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Experience, Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other field with related experience required.
• 5 or more years’ experience in accounting preferably in a manufacturing & cost accounting environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $99,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
