The role

We are looking for a qualified Finance Manager to join the Group Finance team and play a key role in the Financial Reporting across 12 of our brands. Responsibilities will include oversight and production of monthly management accounts at both a Group and brand level, providing stakeholders with the information to enable better decision making throughout the business. This role will be based at our Manchester head office.

What you’ll be doing

• Month end reporting, including:

• Sales and returns provision accounting and modelling
• Margin adjustments and brand recharges
• Internal commission and central cost centre brand recharges

• Preparation and presentation of monthly account Packs to brand Finance teams, working closely with the brand finance commercial teams to understand trends in these areas in order to improve the accuracy of reporting and to understand variances to forecast
• Group plc and Holdings entity accounting, including review of investments for impairment using DCF models.
• Overseas entity accounting, including working closely with our locally based external advisors to provide information to assist with the annual accounts and tax filings
• Half year / year end statutory accounts preparation and reporting
• Aged debtors and aged creditors reporting, including collaborating with the accounts payable and sales ledger teams to ensure balance sheet controls are working effectively
• Liaising with external auditors during the audit process
• Working with brand / subsidiary finance teams to align processes and reporting

• Support with Balance sheet and System interface reconciliations, as required

More about you

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge
• Strong self-starter
• Advanced excel skills and analytical modelling
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• SQL server experience would be advantageous
• Experience of producing statutory accounts would be advantageous
