• $75,000 – $80,000 + super

An exciting opportunity with a rapid-growing organisation in Preston, seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their friendly and collaborative team. You will play a significant role in preparing bank reconciliations, month-end tasks, managing accounts payable and receivable duties, and general ledger reconciliations.

Key responsibilities:

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
• Bank reconciliations
• Processing of accruals, prepayments, and subsequent journals
• Assisting with the Fixed Assets Register
• Reconciliations including General Ledger and Balance Sheet accounts.
• ERP system maintenance
• Tax journals, BAS and FBT reporting
• Update, review and maintenance of management reporting and forecast templates
• Other ad hoc accounting duties to support the finance function and broader team

You will have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Studying or planning to study towards CA/CPA in the future
• Intermediate excel skills – pivot table
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Self-motivated and ambitious for career progression with a good learning attitude
• Strong technical skills (understand accruals/prepayments) are ideal but not essential as long as willing to learn
