Role Title:

Specialist, Accounting and Reporting

Reporting Line:

Director of Reporting and Taxation

Department:

• Corporate; within the Group’s financial reporting and accounting team
• Reporting into Director, Group Accounting

Role Location:

• Colt House, Shoreditch, London
• Currently operating a flexible working arrangement c. 2 days per week in office

Role Purpose:

• IFRS 16 technical deal accounting including contract reviews, contract summaries & detailed accounting papers as required
• IFRS 15 deal accounting including the identification of performance obligations, transaction price allocation, principal/agent considerations etc.
• Commercial modelling; creating summarised financials on key deals for senior management.
• Assisting the commercial team from an accounting viewpoint with contracts, budgets and forecasts.
• IFRS 15/16 policies and governance
• Supporting the group audit process (audited by Big 4)
• Ad-hoc support within Group Accounting, including the group’s annual report and statutory work.

Key Accountabilities:

• Prepares data for the production of internal and external financial reports based on IFRS/Local GAAP
• Ensures accurate IFRS/Local GAAP accounting, including preparation of technical papers
• Interacts effectively with internal customers such as country/divisional finance teams and senior management, as well as the external auditors

Experience:

• Experience of working within an international / high-performing Group Finance team
• Analytical background with a solutions-based approach to work
• Experience of effectively and confidently communicating at all levels across an organisation up to Senior management
• Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and work cross-functionally.
• Confident and motivated individual who can work using their own initiative
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables to agreed timelines.
• Will need to work with the Group’s data analysis systems e.g. SAP BPC, SAP CLM.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
• Excellent IFRS 15 & 16 knowledge
• IFRS / UK GAAP experience
