POSITION OVERVIEW:::
The Curriculum Writer will be an important member of a Learning & Development team within SFAF’s People and Culture Department. They will be an important leader in assessing, designing, developing, and evaluating curriculum for training products, job aides, and other materials in the organization’s learning & development pipeline.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES::

• In partnership with subject matter experts, the Curriculum Writer will create facilitator guides. trainer scripts, powerpoint decks, job aides, and other materials to help SFAF’s workforce achieve learning and development goals in a variety of content areas.
• Partner with a learning and development team to utilize learner assessment data to design instructional goals and learning objectives
• Design instructional modules and activities in alignment with learning goals and outcome objectives
• Develop trainer scripts and facilitation guides
• Design and Develop any necessary job aides in alignment with learning goals and outcome objectives
• Partner with a learning and development team to monitor and evaluate learner outcomes as a result of the learning products

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:::

• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and processes and prioritize effort to meet curriculum production goals on time.
• Willingness to continually test assumptions and apply research in innovative ways.
• Strong technical skills using development and communication tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Mural, Zoom, Teams, and other emerging collaboration and classroom platforms and technologies.
• Strong collaboration skills, highly skilled in process facilitation, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTS:::
Skill in operating equipment such as a personal computer, copy machine and telephone system. Ability to perform routine bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:: :

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Organizational Development related field
• Certification in Instructional Design
• At least 5 years of experience in an organizational development or learning & development role
• At least 3 years of experience in designing and developing curriculum
• Experience working with nonprofit organizations and government funders
• Experience writing for public health topics
• Experience writing for nonprofit management and leadership topics

WORK ENVIRONMENT:::
This is a remote position, and: you will be occasionally required to travel to SFAF’s office locations or off-site meetings as required by the job.
