Reporting to the HR Coordinator you will support with HR and Recruitment administrative tasks. We will offer support and training to help you learn the university’s systems and processes so welcome applications from those with experience as well as those who have not worked in an HR role previously but have a keen interest in starting a career in HR.
Your daily tasks will include updating the HR information system, processing leavers, submitting forms for employee contractual changes, publishing job adverts, sending interview invitations, and responding to queries from candidates and managers.
When required you will provide cover for the reception service at the Student Services Centre, where this role is based.
The Support Team provides an important HR, Recruitment, Finance, Reception, and Health and Safety service to the teams within Education Services, which has more than 270 staff and comprises teams such as the Student Counselling Service, Disability Resource Centre, Student Operations, Cambridge Admissions Office, The Careers Service, and more.
Education Services is going through a period of growth and substantial change, as such, the Support Team are currently dealing with a high volume of work. Therefore, the successful candidate will need to have strong organisational skills and be able to work with conflicting deadlines. They will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills, and excellent customer service skills. Some administrative experience is required.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 2 May 2025 in the first instance.
