Andrew Goddard Associates Ltd have acted as CDM Advisers on over 13000 projects in the last 25 years. Ranging from external re-decoration works and office fit out projects to new build projects up to a value of £1Billion

The role

The vacancy is for the role of Health and Safety Consultant which will involve carrying out inspections on a range of construction sites from office fit outs to major new constructions. You will be required to travel to allocated sites in London and home counties to identify failings in safe working practices in accordance with up to date legislation and non-compliance with CDM Regulation 2015. When not on site, you will be based in the head office in Thame preparing site specific documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out in-depth construction site inspections in relation to CDM Regulations 2015
• Advise and communicate effectively with site managers and contractors to promote safe working practices and a positive health and safety culture
• Manage time and routes for efficiency
• Prepare site specific management documents
• Advising and instructing site managers in the use of their health and safety management system and other relevant procedures

The person

The ideal candidate will have experience carrying out construction site inspections and/or experience working on a construction site, preferably in a team leader/management role. They should also have NEBOSH Construction certification. The candidate will be committed to delivering high levels of customer service and have a good working knowledge of CDM 2015 legislation.
