An exciting opportunity with an independent Australian law firm who is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join their growing team. You will work closely with the Head of Finance, Finance Manager and Management Accountant in producing and interpreting financial analytical reports, as well as be a point of contact for the business in the capacity of commercial advisor.


Key responsibilities:

• Prepare insightful financial information for the CEO, COO and Head of Finance to facilitate informed decision making.
• Support the Management Accountant with producing accurate profitability reports and other periodical performance reporting.
• Assist with the Firm’s annual financial budget process.
• Ongoing maintenance of practice team’s and individual lawyer budgets in the firm’s practice management system.
• Working with client service teams (People & Culture and Business Development) on various requests for financial modelling.
• Participation in Finance and firm-wide projects with an emphasis on innovation and ultimately process improvement.

You will have:

• Degree in Accounting/Business, studying toward CPA/CA qualification is preferrable
• Strong financial analytical skills and in particular a high level of understanding and ability in interpreting key profitability drivers in a professional services firm
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Intermediate to advanced level of Excel skills and strong reporting skills
